We started Hardie Siding Chicagoland because the homeowners we kept meeting — in Berwyn, in Oak Park, on the Northwest Side, out in Naperville — were drowning in brochure language and starving for the specifics that actually matter in this region.

How we think about objectivity
Fiber cement is an excellent cladding for this climate, and we say so plainly. But "Hardie is great" is not the same as "Hardie is automatic." A bad installation on a great product still leaks. A landmark district can override your material choice. A two-flat carries fire-separation obligations a single-family home never sees. Our job is to give you the full picture — including the parts a salesperson would rather skip — so the eventual decision is yours and not someone's quota.
We do, on occasion, point readers toward reputable local installers when a topic calls for it. When we do, it's editorial, it's clearly part of the article, and it never changes what we report. We don't run display ads, sponsored posts, or pay-to-play rankings.
